Manuel Lozano’s practice engages with post-natural imaginaries that articulate the shifting tensions between culture and nature. His sculptures advance an anthropologically inflected reading of materials drawn from diverse artistic and industrial traditions, mobilizing them as sites of cultural inscription rather than neutral matter. Through this lens, his work interrogates how contemporary technologies reshape the perception, mediation, and simulation of the everyday environment. Situated within a Latin American context marked by layered material histories and uneven processes of modernization, Lozano’s practice foregrounds the environment not as a given, but as a culturally produced and technologically conditioned construct.
